I always thought that Ultras' eyes look kind of like insect eyes, so maybe their society in the Land of Light is basically like an anthill - everyone just has to work all the time. It would explain why they happily come to Earth all the time, at least there they can get a break, find hobbies and make friends, they don't just have to work.
