Just so I'm organized, I'm listing, in no particular order, a few blogs of toku actors from shows I watch. (Also listing my selfish wishes that everyone can ignore.) This entry will be updated from time to time ~~as I find more blogs~~ whenever I can be bothered to do so.

Edit Edit: I'm hopelessly out of date, so I suppose some blogs probably no longer work...and I still haven't updated Yuuki Sato's name, even though I believe he changed it sometime between the time I first made this post (February 2007) and now. <--(And I'm usually so non-flexible when it comes to calling/referring to people by their right names (even though most of the time they seem to be more well-known by their previous names)...)

A few things I ordered from Amazon.co.jp have arrived today. In the shipment are GARO Specials Extended Edition DVD Boxset, Ryousei Konishi's photobook 66, and four Ultraman related books: three from Nexus, one from Mebius. Still don't have time to watch the GARO DVD (or even really look at the thick book that comes with the boxset), but have at least flipped through 66, as well as the Mebius book and the Nexus books.

Am I going to buy the new DVD of the Garo Specials? I already got the two-part DVDs when they came out earlier this year.

The reason I'm writing just now is because I got reminded of this today. (CDJapan already sent me at least one email telling me ~~to buy~~ about it way back in May, but I wasn't really paying attention then.) Thing is, if I'd known at the beginning of the year that they would put out this new edition, I would have waited to buy it instead of what I got.

Speaking of stuff I should buy, I still haven't ordered Ryousei Konishi's photobook 66. (I have no idea what it contains either, since I haven't downloaded scans, feeling so sure that I would get it with my next order from Amazon.co.jp.) As a matter of fact, the only photobook I have is Rasshii's mirai. I don't really know why I keep putting off buying other photobooks. Maybe subconsciously I don't want to be disappointed, since I love mirai so much.

(As a side note, I wish I was a fan of Sota Aoyama. I've seen a few scans of his photobook and they look really nice.)

Well, not really. Still, a very Happy Birthday to Ryousei Konishi. He turned 25 today (or yesterday, as it is now 21 February in Japan).

On a related note, my Garo special part 2 DVD I preordered from Amazon.co.jp should be here next week.

It is strange, but there have been quite a few toku actors whom I got curious about and when I digged, turned out that they had been in the Prince of Tennis Musicals. I know I'm probably missing a few, but I'm just going to list the ones I cared enough to find out. Please note that I do not necessarily follow each actor's career.

As a side note, Mirai Hibino, the human form of Ultraman Mebius, is played by Shunji Igarashi, a member of D-Boys. While Igarashi has never been in tenimyu, most of his fellow D-Boys members have performed in the musicals.

What? That's it? I guess. I like tokusatsu (live-action) more, but I'm making exception for a few anime this season (reasons given above) and Sugar Sugar Rune.

I can't keep a journal. I tried it once years ago, but the most I could write was about three weeks worth of entries (one for each day) and each entry became regressively shorter and shorter (the last one consisted of two or three sentences maybe). So I won't promise regular updates here.

That said, this journal exists because of my current obsessions. (Someday down the road I might shake my head and wonder how I could ever become interested in these "obsessions" in the first place, but I wouldn't worry about that now.)
