New Ultraman Film and Old Ultraman Series

Whoa, Shin Ultraman will not be coming out in the early summer? Certainly not the news I wanted to hear. But at least they finished filming way back in 2019, so they will have to release the film at some point. I remember another Ultraman movie similarly delayed and it still came out in the same year, so I hope Shin Ultraman release date will be rescheduled to some time this year. ETA: The film will come out when it can. I don't mind the wait if it means safety for everyone involved (moviemakers and moviegoers alike).
In any case, I suppose I should be grateful that there are still so much Ultra-related things for me to watch (and re-watching is always a possibility).
(And, speaking of watching Ultra-related things, I found this old note about the old Ultra series. Don't remember if I posted it before. If I did, it would have been nearly eight years ago. Still, I can't update it since I haven't watched any recently except Ultraman Taro, which I just got on a shiny Blu-ray set (I bought a Blu-ray player to watch Ultra series. Just goes to show how obsessed I am). Might write up something for the rest of the Showa shows later.)
Been reading about how Mebius is a great gateway into the Showa Ultra series. That the tribute episode might make people interested in the Showa series where the focus Ultra of the episode came from.
But I have to disagree with that notion. Just look at what impressions Mebius gives me regarding the Showa Ultras.
Ultraman Taro: Cool cool cool cool cool. Seriously.
Ultraman Leo: Dude has chips on shoulder or something, so takes it out on poor Mebius.
Ultraman 80: Self-absorbed. Manages to make the main cast look like guests in their own show.
Ultraman Ace: The kindest of all Ultras. The calmest. The gentlest. The list goes on.
I can't believe they get away with this kind of false advertising! I started watching the Showa shows believing the above, and not a single one of the actual shows matched what I remember from Mebius.
And since we are doing this kind of false advertising, let's see which first episode of which series also does that (lulls me in with a false sense of security, the actual series is not up to par -- or boring first episode but actual series is much better).
Ultraman Taro -- Nearly forgettable first episode, but the rest is actually great.
Ultraman Ace -- Forgettable first episode. Okay series (mostly).
Ultraman Leo -- Well, this one doesn't do false advertising.
Ultraman 80 -- Well, this one doesn't do false advertising.
(I feel like I'm the only person who likes 80 (both the character and the series). I mean, people like other series I like, which is great, but 80 is just poorly neglected.)
That said, I am only one voice. Maybe someone else might think these cool old guys (well, three plus Taro, who had no human form) are represented accurately in Mebius. And maybe someone might think the first episode of each of these series accurately represents that series as a whole.
