(It's either this or me whining about Ultraman Zero movie's cast list...)

Just so I'm not hiding anything, I've done this meme once before. That was a little over two years ago, and while answers might not change much, at least they aren't direct cut and paste...

How about a brief introduction?

This is Sennetari. I like to talk about Japanese shows I watch, but, looking over my posts, it seems like I totally favor Ultraman Mebius over everything else. (And this is where non-Ultraman folks' eyes become glazed over...if you're still here.)

Fabulous! And what got you into fanfiction to begin with?

I couldn't have enough of the canon materials, so I started looking for more things to read. Yeah, read a lot of fics, and then thought I could write, too. But I'm beginning to think I'm sadly mistaken since I've hardly ever finished anything not one-shots. (I'm looking at the WIP that used to have three readers, maybe?)

I see. So what kind of fanfiction do you like to write?

Humor? Though most of the time it feels like it's only funny to me. And maybe fantasy--as in, no way this stuff could ever happen in real life. I love genderbenders so that is what I do, mostly. My favorite characters should be very afraid because I'll genderbend them at a drop of a hat. (Unless they're CuteXGuy characters, in which case they might have to be worried about me making them not being able to switch genders.)

Do you find writing easy? Hard? What are the aspects of writing you struggle most with?

Some aspects of writing are easy. For instance, dialogue. I can go pages writing dialogue alone. As for the hard parts, I don't like nor am any good at doing description. And, as a subset of that, action/fight scenes. I usually improvise if I need them, but for the most part I avoid them. And this might sound terribly selfish and irresponsible, but I would rather not do any serious research for my fanfic. I'm writing for fun, to de-stress, not to be more stressed by not finding what I want.

Write a few sentences or so of your favorite pairing or character.

Pass. I wrote them last time I did this meme, and it was so unoriginal I don't want to try again.

Are there any fanfiction clichés or trends you're sick of or just can't stand?

Original Character. Not that I'm sick of it or anything, but I prefer to see familiar characters in my fanfiction.

Are you guilty of any fanfiction clichés you hate? Or any other ones?

Putting OCs in my own fics? Or at least someone so disguised he/she might as well be an OC. And the mary-sues. I tend to make my characters too good to be true, mostly because I couldn't stand to see them...less than perfect? But I'm not consistent about this either way. Sometimes I have no problem abusing my characters.

What was the first fandom you wrote for, and do you still like/participate in it?

I think it was most likely Zorro, but maybe it could have been Scarlet Pimpernel... Not in either of those fandoms now (but still have SP comm on my friendslist).

Name your OTPs or most frequently written pairings/characters and explain what it is about them that you love to write.

Ryuu and Mirai (from Ultraman Mebius). That hasn't really changed, though now I might actually can see them with other people, too. And meme, I don't need any reason for liking them other than I just do, okay?

What would you call your writing style?

Sparse. I like to have readers infer things a lot. Speaking only for myself, I don't usually explain, partly because I'm not good at it, and partly I don't want to give the impression of thinking my readers might need any help. They can certainly parse things on their own.

Do you read other people’s fanfic? If so, what do you find yourself reading the most?

Yes. Whatever catches my fancy at the time. I don't usually have reasons why I choose to read something.

Name one thing you'd LOVE to write, but have been too afraid or shy to do.

If I love to see it, I have no problem writing it. I don't always post what I write, though. Being shy or afraid aren't necessarily the reason holding me back from sharing, though most of the time they are. (I have taken fics down before, though I doubt anyone even read them anyway.)

Do you have trouble taking criticism? Or worse yet, do you have the dreaded bloated ego?

Not at all. I would love any kind of feedback (as long as it is polite), but readers are not obligated to give me anything.

Speaking for myself only, I think I do have the dreaded bloated ego. I mean, I wouldn't think to share my writings at all if I don't.

When you write, is there anything that helps? Music? Quiet room?

Only inspiration (see next).

What inspires you?

Anything can inspire me. And I mean it. I would love to take some very unlikely thing (like my math homework (not a good example; surely there is something more outrageous)) and fit it into my story, usually changing it beyond recognition from the original. So much that it is difficult to guess what exactly I've done there.

Lastly, how would you sum up your fanfiction experiences and yourself as a writer?

I might have not been prolific, but I'm mostly fine with almost everything I've written. No feedback can be a bit discouraging, but I prefer to think that my fics are read and enjoyed in any case (or maybe I'm just naive).

Tag some friends because they'll hate you for it.

I didn't tag anyone last time, what make you think I'll do it this time, meme?

Serious answer: like I said last time, feel free to take it if you like. And if you're not on my friendslist but want me to read your answers, leave me a link.
