I suppose it is enough if she knows that he is a member of the monster fighting team, technically Ultraman is exactly that, so it is not like he was lying to his girlfriend.
Makes sense, it is more useful for fighting monsters if the people who are supposed to do it are available all the time, and not just after their actual job is over, fighting monsters is not exactly a thing people can do as a hobby in their free time...
