I would start a new fic (in fact, did), but I did post four chapters of that fic on my blog and I don't like to leave things hanging. Still, it's doubtful if anyone other than I is still waiting for more chapters (the last time someone asked about that fic was ten years ago). And, while some of my outlooks on life have certainly changed over time, the fic wouldn't go in the direction I didn't intend - I'd planned from the beginning about the main plot points, it's the little details that that stump me. Oh, well. I'd returned to abandoned fics before (though I've never waited this long), I can do it again, surely. The trick is to not talk about this fic anymore until I'm ready. I don't like to put pressure on myself if not necessary.
I hope if you ever have an inspiration to write again, you will be able to find the time and energy to do so. :)
Secret Ultraman base, huh? It makes me think of Ultraman Geed since its first episode is called 'Welcome to the secret base', and that secret base (which is actually a spaceship) looks like a base I kind of imagine Ultraman might use (alien-ish, if that is a word). I mean, some other bases of the monster fighting teams also look a bit like they could belong in space, but I just don't get the feeling that aliens would hang out there.
