>>>So it is probably possible for computers to be completely different from what the original intent of the human programmers was. Yes, that's possible. It's like a virus that mutates and turns into something completely different. And I agree that at least computers are logical in their judgments, even if I usually think their rationales are too extreme, too black and white. People have all shades of grey, after all.
Well, I'm sure I would not care for villains who have such petty motivations like money or power either. I mean, if the good guys have good reasons to fight (to save lives, to protect everyone), I want the villains to have at least good reasons to oppose the heroes (perhaps they think the heroes' methods are wrong). Anyway, that's just a long way of saying I'm not usually in the mood to watch shows with weak motivations, on either the good guys' side or the bad guys' side, except perhaps a show that clearly doesn't take itself seriously. That is probably a big reason I love Ultraman shows. They respect their characters, by making them work hard for their beliefs, their ideals. Perhaps they will stumble wrong to protect their ideals, but I respect characters that don't take the easy way out when things become difficult.
Sometimes I just have to write something, even if I never plan to post it. But I'm still glad I took the time to write them out since I probably couldn't bear losing the stories due to forgetting (which happened too often in the past, so now I write everything down). As for commenting, I remember a fanfic writer who specifically stated that they didn't want any kind of comments on their stories since the comments could interfere with their creative process or something along those lines. They disabled comments on their fanfic posts. That said, I agree with you, that most writers would welcome comments. I'm just too shy, especially if I have never talked to those writers before.
Speaking as a human, I sure don't want to be used by aliens in that way. ^^;;
