Yamada Taro Monogatari

I'm currently in love with this series, which kind of surprises me a little. ( My prior encounter with the series (which wasn't so positive). )

And, this. I don't know, maybe I shouldn't be so happy about it. Ultraman references are not that scarce in anime and manga, but I think this is the first time I've seen one in a shoujo manga.

Working my way through the drama. I finished two episodes so far. :) Glad that episode 2 (and the series in general) seems to improve on the original manga story. Although a guy (besides Yamada) whom I was really looking forward to doesn't (so far) seem as cute as the one in the manga. Not to mention this seemingly familiar place makes an appearance again (I suppose if I put myself to it, I can eventually find out exactly where this place is). And I so love the upbeat theme song (whose name is Happiness, I believe).

Random stuff, after all

I was on my not usual browsing on Amazon.co.jp looking for Mebius stuff to buy, and color me--well not surprised, but kind of off guard--when I came across what I believe is a photobook for Daisuke Watanabe (渡辺大輔フォトブック『Prologue』). (I don't remember seeing a mention of it anywhere before, but I may have overlooked it, particularly if it has been mentioned on his own blog.)

Since I'm currently short on spending money (the two Mebius Gaiden DVDs come first before anything else), it's sad that I have debate whether to buy it when it is released next month or later. Though I would rather not order now anyway because it will hold up the rest of my order.

Oh well...there will be scans around later, I'm sure, but I would rather have a physical book to hold on to. Yeah, I'll buy the photobook eventually.
